This year, $394,305 has been awarded to inspiring projects across Victoria that will help children and young people learn about biodiversity through hands-on action in their local communities.
From restoring Bruce’s Creek at Upper Plenty Primary School, to creating a Biodiversity Habitat Trail at Epsom Primary School, to the 1st Croydon Hills Scout Group’s Scales, Scat and Survival program, these projects show just how creative and impactful Junior Landcare can be.
A huge thank you to the educators, teachers, and landcare volunteers and staff helping bring these projects to life. 👏
These grants of up to $5,000 each are funded by the Victorian Government and play a vital role in empowering young people to value and take action for the natural environment.
