The ACT Government would like to present an updated design for Belconnen wetland to the community for comment in February 2023 and wish to flag a placeholder for a public meeting. Further information on the event will be announced in late January. For now, you can register your interest.

You are invited to participate in an online study to identify what motivates volunteers to participate in environmental stewardship programs, and what factors support the valuable contribution of people like you. It takes about 10-12 minutes to complete. You could win one of two vouchers worth $300. The survey is being run by researchers from the University of Queensland with support from the NSW Environmental Trust. Take the survey.

The Standing Committee on Environment, Climate Change and Biodiversity is inquiring into the ACT's heritage arrangements, including the effectiveness of the Heritage Act 2004 and ACT Heritage Council, and ACT Heritage Unit resourcing. Make a submission.

ACT High Country Bogs and Associated Fens were listed as an Endangered Ecological Community in the ACT in 2019. The draft Action Plan outlines known threats to the ecological community and the recommended management actions for the next ten years. Your comments will help the Conservator to refine and improve the draft Action Plan.
