Day 1 at Biri Bulmba Budang National Custodians of Country Gathering 2023
"Day One of workshops is underway!
Today, practitioners are sharing knowledge about how Indigenous innovation can pave a pathway for future generations to care for Country and enhance outcomes for communities.
In the Agriculture, Economies and Water Yarning Circle, a group of inspiring Indigenous and non-Indigenous people are working together to improve agriculture practices. Victor explains: “We’re seeing amazing results and better practices in farming – using biotechniques and replacing the bulldozer and poisons in fire and other land management techniques. This is Indigenous and non-Indigenous people working together. Custodians is about paving a pathway for future generations to look after the environment and improve practices within our economic and social structures for all future generations. We are stronger together.”
