Grant Alert! 1,000 grants of up to $1,000 now available
We're excited to announce that the Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants program is back for 2024, offering primary schools and early learning centres the opportunity to obtain a $1,000 grant to engage students in projects to support the environment.
This program gives children across the country the opportunity to get hands-on with environmental and sustainability projects, learn new skills and knowledge, connect with their peers, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of time spent outdoors in nature.
The Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants program include projects that involve planting a vegetable or bush tucker garden, creating a sensory garden or a butterfly garden, installing a yarning circle to learn more about First Nations Perspectives, tackling waste issues through composting or recycling projects.
• Sustainable food production e.g. planting a veggie garden
⦁ Waste management e.g. creating compost or worm gardens
⦁ Biodiversity e.g. enhancing wildlife habitat or creating a butterfly garden
⦁ First Nations perspectives e.g. planting a bush tucker garden
⦁ Wellbeing e.g. sensory garden
With 1,000 grants on offer, this is a fantastic opportunity to set up a brand new project or enhance an existing one. Previous grant recipients are welcome to apply again if they have submitted a final report for their previous Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant project.

Since launching in 2018, the Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants program has already engaged over 400,000 students and supported close to 5,000 projects with positive environmental, educational and social outcomes.
All Australian primary schools and early learning centres are eligible to apply.

2. Previous Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant recipients are eligible to apply provided they have submitted all outstanding reports to Landcare Australia.
3. Click here to access the Landcare Australia Communities portal to apply for the grant. If you haven't applied for Junior Landcare Grant before, please register on the Landcare Australia Communities portal.
4. Click on Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants and 'Create Application'. You can save it along the way and log back in at any time to complete your application.
