    Landcare Champion Stories

Welcome to the Landcare Champion Stories

Comment on this post to share your group's activities, photos and inspire others!

Landcare Australia is collating short stories about landcare champions across Australia as part of our campaign to promote that Landcare is for Everyone (L.I.F.E)  We are shining the spotlight on the Australians who are actively restoring, enhancing, and protecting the natural environment in their community.  Landcare Champions Stories is a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on to individuals, groups, and organisations involved in landcare, and who inspire others to leave their local environment in a much better place for future generations.

From farmers planting wildlife corridors on their properties, volunteers dedicating hours every week, children learning about biodiversity and where their food comes from, community groups creating native seedbanks to sustainable businesses encouraging their staff to volunteer with landcare groups – there is a landcare champion near you who should be recognised.  To nominate an individual, group or organisation, please contact us at enquires@landcareaustralia.com.au

    - Nominate a National Landcare Legend for the Honour Rollhttps://www.landcarer.com.au/landcarer-legends7

Together we can acknowledge the Australians who are actively restoring, enhancing, and protecting the natural environment in their community.

Hunter Intrepid Landcare is hosting a Guided Fungi Walk & Talk during Landcare Week in collaboration with Urban Botanica Collective!

"As we celebrate Landcare Week (August 5 - 11) under the theme "Landcare is for Everyone", our event embodies this spirit by facilitating a deeper connection to our natural environment through the lens of mycology.
Hunter Intrepid Landcare is passionate about broadening the reach of Landcare and engaging young people with a variety of interests."
This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government's Local Small Commitments Allocation Program (LSCA)
