The wildfires of 2019/2020 had a devastating impact on Country, culture and community. As part of the recovery process, Firesticks initiated a community-led project across four Indigenous communities: Healing People with Cultural Knowledge Revival of Good Fire. This included the production of a short film series to document healing, learning and growing. And, we can't wait to finally show you the incredible results!
Produced in partnership with Backbone Productions, these community co-designed films showcase the community's leadership in Cultural Fire. Learn from Cultural Fire Practitioners as they share their journey and experiences of mentorship in rekindling this vital cultural practice. The project also aims to build an audio-visual knowledge archive for communities to track the progress of Cultural Fire on their Country and share that within the community
