  • 1.  Land conservation for sugar gliders

    Posted 5 days ago

Hello, my name is Eddie Fisher, and this is my first post. I am based in Oklahoma, United States, and I am currently writing an extensive book focused on all aspects of sugar gliders. A significant portion of my work examines land care practices in the coastal forests and woodlands of southeast Queensland, eastern New South Wales, and Victoria.

In particular, I am exploring the environmental challenges facing sugar gliders in Australia, including habitat fragmentation and land clearing, which continue to pose serious threats to their populations.

I have a strong interest in Landcare initiatives and greatly admire the work being done to preserve and restore these ecosystems. I would welcome the opportunity to connect, and if possible, visit in person to better understand and observe the conservation efforts underway.

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself.

    Hi Eddie,

We have some work being done here around the Central Tablelands of NSW on removing barbed wire to help protect guilders. We are happy to get those people in touch with you.

    Claudia :)
