It's never been more important to understand bushfires in an Australian context.
NOBURN is the first of its kind citizen science project involving Australian communities in data collection and predictive modelling of bushfires, garnering interest in the science behind bushfires and creating awareness of the fire-susceptibility of our forests.
If you're an Australian citizen, you can download to NOBURN app and help collect data on your next visit to the forest. Or the paddock. Or wherever, really.
I'll certainly be getting involved, and do my part in helping scientists understand Australia's ongoing relationship with bushfires in a changing climate.
