Agribusiness experts outline the impacts of Farming Forecaster, an automated pasture forecasting tool combining real time weather data, soils information and farm simulation modelling to provide a road map of pasture growth and feeding requirements. Underpinned by data collected from a network of soil moisture probes and weather stations located on 40 individual sites, this new tool allows farmers to confidently make stocking decisions during times of increased climate variability, building capacity and supporting continuous improvement in local grazing Industries.
