It’s time to make revegetation climate-ready. The Climate Ready Revegetation (CRR) Project aims to enhance the survival of revegetation in the Yass Area by increasing genetic diversity to help native species adapt to climate change through natural selection over generations. In this presentation, Elizabeth Goodfellow and Gill Hall detail the significant milestones already achieved by the CRR Project, like the analysis of the future climate tolerance of 80+ species, refinement of nursery practices, and adoption of ‘admix’ seed for the majority of plants grown in the Landcare nurseries. Following this, they explore lessons learned along the way so as to inspire other organisations to incorporate climate-readiness into revegetation projects to enhance survival prospects as our climate changes.Presenter: Elizabeth Goodfellow, Gill Hall.Powerpoint slides: Climate Ready Revegetation – Lessons from Implementation in the Yass Area.#NationlLandcareConference#LandcareConf22
