The Threatened Species Conservancy is an independant non-for-profit organisation, founded to address the extinction crisis we are currently experiencing in Australia. Working with communities to foster connections with the natural world, undertaking important on-ground actions and threatened species assessments, the Conservancy use their ecological expertise to help threatened species to thrive. In this presentation, Georgie delves into the importance of the simple butterfly - the invertebrate who share our waking hours, making it possible for us to assess the state of insect extinctions and their ecosystems general health. For TSC, intended management actions such as research, online data collection, training, and basic community education, are vital to continued conservation efforts.Speaker(s): Georgie Custance.Presentation slides: Rare Butterflies Hold Hope for the Future of Far East Gippsland.#ClimateChangeImpacts#NationalLandcareConference#LandcareConf22
