Loddon Plains Landcare Network (LPLN) detail how their Reading Landscapes program encourages efficient land management and on-farm biodversity. By outlining the importance of paddock protection trees, increasing overall size and species of shelterbelt plantings, and selecting key plant species, as well as spotlighting simple methods to assess vegetation condition/cover and undertake invertebrate and bird surveys, they explain how to extend secondary income and manage problems such as salinity, erosion, and loss of vegetation cover.
