    There are a few spots left for the Accounting for Nature Field Day | The Hawkesbury meeting!

    Do you want recognition for your land management practices, or are you interested in measuring and protecting your environmental assets or natural capital?

    If so, we are offering you an opportunity to join our Hawkesbury field day!

    On Wednesday 19th of October, come along to Blueberry Hills on Comleroy, Kurrajong NSW, and learn more about natural asset management as well as opportunities to participate and gain accreditation in natural capital accounting. 

    Hosted by Landcare Farming and Local Land Services, the expert tuition will be delivered by Amanda Hansson and Chrissy Elmer - experienced ecologists, natural resource managers and environmental researchers from the Accounting for Nature team of experts. 

    What can you expect to learn?
    • What environmental accounting is and what can it be used for
    • What is environmental condition and how it is measured
    • What is account stratification and how it is done
    • Aggregation of field data to Econd®
    • Certification and further training opportunities
    With practical exercises on native vegetation (how to measure environmental conditions), soil (how to collect soil data), fauna (how to survey for birds and mammals), plus so much more, it's a great opportunity to come along and learn more about natural asset management.

    This event is free! This program is generously funded by Landcare Farming with support from Greater Sydney Local Lands Services, Regional Development Australia Sydney, and Accounting for Nature.

    Lunch will be provided, but as outdoor exercises will be conducted, covered, strong footwear is required; along with weather appropriate clothing and a hat.
