Hello Landcarers.

I would like to set-up a landcarer group at Maroochydore

There is a 10,000m2 parcel of Main Roads land that they say they do not want to use.

 Could you please advise how I should proceed to obtain permission for Landcare Australia to make this a nature reserve ?

Do you have a letter temple ?

Apologies for this very late response to your question. Unfortunately, we don't have a letter template to help you with an application to your local council to make that area a nature reserve. It is best to contact them directly as each council has their own processes. Once you have this approval, then setting up a Landcare group is as simple as having a look here: Landcare Australia | Resources for Groups Landcare Australia

Then register our group to receive a logo etc here: Landcare Australia | National Landcare Directory Landcare Australia
