Councils and Landcare groups across Queensland have been invited to apply for grants to support projects that reduce the impact of invasive plants and animals!
Agriculture Minister Mark Furner said projects should encourage the use of novel approaches to improve biosecurity systems.
"Funding of $976,000 will be available for establishing partnerships and leveraging co-operative investment," the Minister said.
The closing date for applications under Round 7 of the Queensland Feral Pest Initiative is November 30. To submit an application and supporting documents for round 7 of the QFPI, email qldferalpestinit@daf.qld.gov.au. Applications close 5pm, Wednesday 30th November 2022.
This round is open to all local government areas across Queensland.
Eligible organisations include:
- regional natural resource management (NRM) organisations
- incorporated industry organisations
- local governments or a regional organisation of local governments or equivalent body.
