Australian Nature Journaling Conference Details

We are inviting citizen scientists, educators, nature lovers, and nature journalers to the first Inaugural Australian Nature Journaling Conference, a networking event aimed at uniting individuals and communities from across Australia.

Hosted at the beautiful Queensland Museum in central Brisbane, this event promises to foster a deep love and understanding of nature, encourage community building, and explore the impact of nature journaling.

The conference is currently being sponsored by the Queensland Museum, NatureArt Lab and the Brisbane City Council

Highlights of the ANJA Conference Program:

  • Welcome to Country Ceremony by Derek Oram, Yerongpan Aboriginal Corporation
  • Two Days of Interactive Sessions: Engage in presentations, discussion roundtables, and networking opportunities with both new and seasoned nature journalers.
  • Hands-On Workshops: Explore a variety of journaling techniques, materials, and subjects inspired by the museum's collection over two afternoons.
  • Field Trips: Spend a full day immersed in the beauty of Brisbane's botanical gardens, parklands, and wetlands.
  • Social Events: Enjoy welcome drinks with live music by Adam Stockdale and a conference dinner featuring a speaker from the Queensland Museum.

The final speaker/workshop program will be available shortly with full details and session times.

Learn, love nature and be happy! Be part of this growing community in Australia!
